I'm an Army civilian and spent 22 years doing materials and quality engineering for the Army's helicopter maintenance depot in Corpus Christi, TX. I recently gave up the beach and fishing and moved to a big corn patch along the Iowa Illinois border. What we won't do for work. I convinced my new wife Linda to leave Texas and move too. I now travel around doing ISO 9000 auditing at Army maintenance sites. Linda travels with me on occasion or stays home and takes care of the house and cat. We have four great kids and are getting used to having an empty nest. My son and step-son are in the Air Force and stationed in Japan although my son is now deployed to Iraq. He plans on going to engineering school when he gets out next year. My step-son was just nominated by his squadron to go to the AF Academy. Needless to say he is pretty gung ho and plans on making the AF a career. Linda and I hope to extend an upcoming work trip to S. Korea and visit them in Japan this fall. Both of my daughters are in CC.
