The saying "The more things change, the more they stay the same," definitely applies to me. I'm still working as a radio broadcaster at KBHB, AM 810, in Sturgis, South Dakota. I'm also the Public Service Director. I decide which announcements run. I also record a lot of local ads which "pay the bill." We're affililated with national companies, like ABC, and I record several of their ads, too that we have to play. It's been a real safe haven. In 2005, we moved into town into a brand new building that we share with 3 other businesses. I work with other people who've been here for several years; obviously, they feel it's a "safe haven" too.
You'll notice on the "Brag Pictures" section, I've been fortunate to meet some famous people. I've met several others over the years, too. I also thought I'd put in some 1997 reunion pictures that I took.
Over the years, I've come across a lot of good Country songs that'd be great for class reunions, including "Who Says You Can't Go Home" by Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles, "Life Happened" by Tammy Cochran, "I'm All Right" by Jo Dee Messina, and "Everything's Changed" by Lonestar.
There's definitely a lot of nostalgia when you come home, especially at a class reunion.
