Hi there Classmates of 1977, can hardly believe that it has been 40 years already. Time just seems to fly by. As for me I am still married to David, we have been married 36 years. Still livin the life in Huron. Planning on moving to Lake Byron next year, we are very excited for the next chapter in our lives. Our boys are all grown up Ben is married to Kimberly and they have one son Windom Henry, and they live in Minneapolis. I will just say being a grandparent is the best thing ever. Garred is closer, he lives in Brookings. Still single hopefully one of these days he will find the right girl.
So as for me my life's journey has been full of up's and down's. Back in 2009 I was diagnosed with Scleroderma, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Pulmonary Hypertension. All very serious diseases. My diseases progressed very fast finding myself needing a double lung transplant. I was so very fortunate the the University of Minnesota gave me the chance. So on July 27,2012 I was given the gift of life of two lungs. I am so very very thankful to my donor and their family for giving the gift.
To this day my lungs are amazing. The best things that I have been able to celebrate was Ben's wedding on Sept. 15, 2012. Was just an amazing day. Then Windom who was born in 2016. And being alive and breathing.
I still suffer with the Scleroderma (Limited), and because of the transplant I have diabetes, fibromyalgia, and a few other things. But all I can say is that I am blessed to be able to live and enjoy what I can. Because you know, none of us know when our time will come. So my wish for all of you is that you is that you don't take today for granted, cherish each and everyday with the one's you love, and forgive those who you struggle with. Because life is just way to short. Wishing only great things to come for all of you.
